our mission

Haptivate have a vision of a world where happiness and well-being is accessible to everyone. You don't have to be a master of zen to lead a life you feel good about. The research has been done and the tools you need to create happy habits already exist - but too few people get the chance to learn about this.

We want to change that.

We believe happiness is a life skill and one day it'll be taught in schools alongside reading and writing. But while we wait for public policy to progress, we want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to develop happiness and well-being skills.

So we're creating workshops and courses using the very latest research to help individuals, organisations and communities to lead happier and more productive lives.

We take a data-driven approach to happiness and well-being. Our workshops use the latest research into mindfulness, positive psychology and yoga. So you'll discover happiness skills that are science-based, practical and -most importantly- effective.

There are simple techniques you can use to immediately improve your mood. Within moments, you can tap into your body's biology to trigger the release of happiness hormones. Regular practice can literally rewire and change the structure of your brain. This means with time it becomes easier to access positive thought patterns.

Our training explains exactly how these techniques work. You'll experience their benefits for yourself. We'll also show you how to make them part of your routine so you can make lasting improvements to your happiness.

Charities and community organisations work incredibly hard! However, with budgets being so tight, funding well-being at work activities is often a challenge.

We give away a free stress management and relaxation session every month so these organisations have an opportunity to Haptivate!

Happiness skills training days for 14-19 year olds are held monthly at Haptivate Hub, Camden. The sessions help young people to look after their personal well-being, make new friends and share happiness skills in their community.

 

our story

Haptivate was founded in London in 2018 by Rosa Connor and James Pacey. Rosa started her career in community work while James was working in the tech sector.

While we were in very different lines of work, we were both observing the same phenomenon:
well-being issues are extremely common but often little is done to acknowledge and address them.

This just didn't make sense to us. And the more we dug into it, the more we realised it was a far-reaching problem, affecting all kinds of different people.

So why wasn't more being done about this universal problem?

As we tried to understand this, there was one key factor that we kept revisiting.
There's a well-being skills and knowledge gap. And this affects individuals, organisations and society at large. If there were a simple and accessible way to change that then we could potentially lead happier lives in a happier society.

So we founded Haptivate to do just that!
